Privacy notes for Contentwise users
A plain account of what the service sees when you use it and what we do with it.
Who this covers
These notes cover the Contentwise website, the free explorer and the API at contentwise.app. Contentwise is the operator. Using the service means you accept what is written here.
If anything is unclear, use the account page. We read what arrives there. Replies are not instant.
What we handle
Sign-in
You sign in with a Google account. We receive the basic profile details Google shares with us for that purpose, and we use them to identify your account.
API keys and balance
Each account holds keys and a prepaid credit balance. Keys act as passwords for API calls, so keep them private.
Usage records
We record which actions you call and what they cost, because billing and abuse checks need it.
Top-up payments
Top-ups are in USDT (TRC-20) from the account page. The blockchain record is public by nature, and we cannot alter it.
Lookups and what you type
The free lookup takes a domain name you type. That domain is processed to return a result and may appear in ordinary server logs.
Do not put secrets into a query. Please. Domain names and search phrases are not private to us, and nobody should treat them as private. Pick a different channel for anything sensitive.
We do not sell your account details. We do not build an advertising profile of you, and we do not need one to run an API.
Good habits on your side
- Keep API keys out of public code repositories and shared documents
- Use a separate key for each script, so one can be replaced alone
- Check the cost in each response's _credits field after a new job
- Sign out on shared computers
Cookies and your choices
We use cookies and similar storage for sign-in sessions and basic site function. Browser settings let you block them, though sign-in will then fail.
You can ask about your account data through the account page. Where we are required to act on such a request, we will.
When these notes change, the date at the top changes too. Check back now and then.

Third parties
Sign-in runs through Google, so Google's own terms and privacy rules apply to that step. Top-ups run on the TRON network in USDT (TRC-20), which is a public ledger. We do not control either system.
